Dr. Elijah Wogu is a board-certified neurosurgeon. He is fellowship-trained in trauma neurosurgery, completing his neurosurgery residency and fellowship training at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Southern California. Dr. Wogu grew up in Riverside, California and worked as registered nurse while completing medical school. According to Dr. Wogu, “Being a registered nurse saved me, allowed me to escape my environment, and allowed me to believe in myself.”
He comes with a variety of skills, from minimally invasive spine surgery, craniotomies for tumors, bleeds, and aneurysms, to complex occipital sacral spine surgery. At Posada Surgery Center, Dr. Wogu performs endoscopic carpal tunnel release, minimal (less than 1-inch incision), multilevel spinal decompression, artificial disk replacement, spinal cord stimulator placement, and more.
When Dr. Wogu in not working, he enjoys running, motorcycle riding, and working out.
In addition to Posada Surgery Center, Dr. Wogu is affiliated with Twin Cities Community Hospital and Sierra Vista Hospital.
